At least one parent must be a practicing Catholic.
Parents must be registered members of St. Helen. If parents are not registered at St. Helen, they will need a letter of permission from their pastor to baptize their child outside of their home parish.
Both parents must attend a baptism preparation class at St. Helen or at any Catholic Church within the last three years. You will need to provide proof of completion if taken at another Catholic Church.
Provide a copy of your child's birth certificate by emailing it to [email protected].
Godparents:
Only one godparent is required. If there are two godparents, one must be male and the other female.
An adult who is fully initiated Catholic (Baptism, Confirmation, First Holy Communion), attending Mass regularly, and actively practicing their faith.
If godparents are married, they must be married in the Catholic Church or in a marriage recognized by the Catholic Church.
Must not be cohabitating outside of marriage.
Godparents need to attend a baptism preparation class.
