    Ministries


Liturgy Committee
The Liturgy Committee is responsible for the planning and preparation of the liturgical celebrations in the church. It seeks to provide a meaningful and prayerful liturgy through the rituals, music, art and environment, gathered assembly, etc. The committee also promotes the growth of our spiritual life by facilitating devotions, retreats and various spiritual activities.

Eucharistic Ministers
Members of the parish are invited to be Ministers of the Eucharist. They help in the distribution of communion under the species of bread and wine during Mass. Training and meetings are required..

Lectors
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Training and meetings are necessary.

Hospitality/Ushers
Ushers greet parishioners and newcomers by welcoming and seating them. They also assist in the collection and offertory procession. Both men and women are invited to participate in this ministry.

Altar Servers
Boys and girls assist the celebrant and community at Mass and various liturgical celebrations. Training and regular meetings are necessary.

Altar Committee
Every week volunteers clean the altar and sanctuary of the church by replacing candles, light housekeeping, etc., on a rotating schedule..

Altar Linens
Altar linens are changed, washed and ironed by volunteers.

Alb Cleaning
The clergy albs are laundered and ironed regularly by volunteers.

Altar Flowers
An offering for the altar flowers may be made in memory of a loved one or to celebrate a special occasion. You may sign on the flower calendar, located on the bulletin board in Braden Hall and then make your payment two weeks in advance of the weekend selected.

Our Lady's Prayer Group
Members of the prayer group meet weekly to praise the Lord, grow in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mother, and pray for particular needs.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Committee
Parishioners have the option to be scheduled for a regular hour during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Printed material, prayer pamphlets and books to use during Adoration are made available and maintained by the committee.

Adult Choir
The adult choir leads the assembly in prayer through music, providing a variety of selections and harmonies during the Mass. This choir usually sings at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday and at special feast days and celebrations. The adult choir practices weekly.

Coro Hispano
El Coro Hispano canta durante la misa en espanol de 1:00 p.m. los domingos y practica todos los jueves.

Cantors
The cantor is primarily responsible for singing the responsorial psalm and other parts of the Mass during our weekend Masses.

Instrumentalists
Members who play musical instruments accompany the choir at weekend Masses and on special feast days and celebrations.

Sunday Nursery
There is a nursery for infants and toddlers during the 9:00 a.m. mass on Sunday. There is no charge for this service as we ask parents of the children who use the nursery to volunteer on a rotating basis.

Vocation Committee
Our committee promotes vocations to the priesthood and religious life through awareness, education and prayer. This group promotes all of the programs that are available in the diocese for men and women who may have an interest in the priesthood and religious life.
