Adult Confirmation

Registration for Summer 2024 is open

If you’re an adult baptized Catholic but missed receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation as a teenager, then the Adult Confirmation process is for you!

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world.

The Archdiocese of Galveston/Houston celebrates the Mass of the Rite of Confirmation usually twice a year: Around the Baptism of the Lord (3rd Sunday after Christmas) or Pentecost Sunday (7th Sunday after Easter). Weekly formation classes will help you prepare for receiving this sacrament. Consistent attendance is required.

There will be an opportunity this Summer 2024 for a compressed formation program with classes occurring on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to noon. Attendance at all classes is required. Note that if you’re also in need of preparing for First Holy Communion, you can also attend these formation classes.

Summer classes are on Saturday mornings as follows:

  • June 1, 2024, 8:30am – 12pm: Session 1
  • June 15, 2024, 8:30am – 12pm: Session 2
